As we transform into people of the future, being shaped through our up to date environment, our government has decided to start changing the general public’s infrastructure for a better fit to how present society operates. To be connected in today’s age means to balance virtual and personal communication which encompasses a utopian sort of flow of global and local information.

Taking a short stroll down the crumbled sidewalks of the Michigan AvenueCorridor ought to open one’s eyes to the vast change the Corridor must undergo to keep up with the fast paced world around us. Something new and innovative must be constructed along the Corridor because Michigan Avenue is such a critical thoroughfare connecting Lansing and East Lansing. If East Lansing and Lansing would like Michigan Avenue’s Corridor

look more attractive
bring money in for the city
serve as a socially interactive environment

then building a “green” lifestyle center would prove to be a wise decision.
Bright colors, pedestrian walk ways, large fountains, free WIFI, and many places to visit, are among the reasons why citizens from near and far will flock to enjoy the many leisure’s of the “Green Fountain Walk.”
“They’re also enormously successful by the most recent count, there are about 130 lifestyle centers scattered around the country and they’re growing,”

Aside from the social benefits of constructing the lifestyle center, the energy for the entire walk will be powered through the use of solar panels, constructed of recycled materials where possible, and will use recycled water for landscape irrigation. This will contribute toward the overall profit the “Green Fountain Walk” will take in as well. The “Green Fountain Walk” indeed will be a hot spot for conducting business considering its location between two heavily populated cities, and its many attractive businesses, comfortable environment, and friendly social setting.
Buffalo Wild Wings, Hooters, MJR Movie Theatre, Century Bowl, and Wendy’s will be expected to draw in the most revenue and thus will be built within the walk.
Lifestyle centers will be increasingly more common as the future approaches given their historically high success rates (Bhatnagar, 2005).
In order to preserve Lansing’s good name as the powerhouse capital of Michigan, and East Lansing’s home of the Spartans it is crucial that a “Green Fountain Walk," be built on Michigan Avenue’s Corridor.
